Carolyn Lambert

Carolyn Lambert creates performances and social actions that unravel social histories about economy, environmental crisis, and contemporary culture. Recent projects have explored subversive transgressions of underground economies, intersecting values on the Ohio River, and the cultural significance of potatoes. Her work has been presented at the Mattress Factory, Pittsburgh; Eyebeam, NYC; the Urban Institute of Contemporary Art, Grand Rapids; and Exit Art, NYC. She received her MFA from Carnegie Mellon in 2005 and has been awarded grants from the Ford Motor Company, National Wildlife Federation, and the Steinbrenner Institute. She is based in New York City.
