Our team hopes to mitigate toxicity within the League of Legends community by using persuasive design techniques. We created a comprehensive system that actively monitors player behaviors and leverages psychological concepts such as self-reflection, cognitive dissonance, priming, extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, and social proof to create positive reinforcement and prevent toxic behavior instead of punishing it. We hope that this mindfulness will encourage players to have better in-game behavior and make playing League more fun for everyone.
