Zobits is a generative building toy that informs on systems thinking in ecologies. The toy encompasses a set of 16 Zobits figurines each representing a different ecological player and a 4-slot play pad. These range from carnivores and omnivores to grass, lichen, and fungi. Players can select up to 4 Zobits to place on the play pad which will develop into a virtual ecosystem over the course of a week. By experimenting with various combinations, players will come to understand the factors necessary to balance and sustain an ecosystem.
