This is a procession and ceremony in conversation with the people in the streets of Grand Dakar. We devised music, dance, ritual attire, and memorials dedicated to the effects of mass migration and its generational erasure. We considered how migration impacts life and prosperity and can be mirrored in the shifting of the sand.
