Noriyuki Fujimura

Noriyuki Fujimura is a Japanese media artist who creates interactive public sculptures which respond to the audience and the environment. With these sculptures, his aim is to restore and renovate the concept and function of public space.

Remote Furnitute (1999-),his first major interactive artwork, has shown in various public spaces around Tokyo area. He organized exhibition project Public Communication Sculpture (1998-),to show these interactive artworks in public spaces. As a result, the exhibition project was introduced in CAST01 conference at Bonn,Germany (2001) where Remote Furniture won a prize in Deutsche bank’s student art competition.
