Taeyoon Choi is an artist primarily interested in the politics of public space and the influence of computation on society. His projects combine hacking electronics, performance and drawing. Through collaborating with wide variety of specialists and community organizers, Choi has curated large scale events such as Activist Technology Demo Day, an open space to demonstrate new technical projects inspired by Occupy Wall Street, and Roadshow South Korea, a weeklong tour to South Korean rivers under massive development with local activists and international artists.
Choi has had solo exhibitions in South Korea, Denmark and the United States, and has participated in ISEA, Ars Electronica, Upgrade!, and the Shanghai Biennale.
