R. Luke DuBois is a composer, artist, and software designer. He holds a doctorate in music composition from Columbia University. He is currently the director of the Brooklyn Experimental Media Center at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, with a joint appointment in the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU/Tisch and the Music and Performing Arts Professions department at NYU/Steinhardt.

DuBois’ creative work has been exhibited worldwide, including at the Smithsonian, PROSPECT New Orleans, the DUMBO Arts Festival, the 2008 Democratic National Convention, and the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. His music is released on Cantaloupe Music, the record label of Bang on a Can. His work and writing has been printed and broadcast by National Public Radio, the New York Times, National Geographic, and Esquire Magazine. He has also worked extensively as a software developer on packages (RTcmix, Jitter) that are widely used in the creative coding, visual performance, and electronic music communities.
