Laurie Palmer

Former STUDIO Associate Fellow Laurie Palmer is an Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her  interdisciplinary practice includes sculptural and public art projects, writing, and collaboration with the artists’ collective Haha, with whom she has worked for twelve years. She has exhibited both individual and collaborative work in the US and in Europe and has written about art for over a decade, publishing in frieze, Artforum, and other journals and catalogs. Previously, she taught at UC Santa Barbara, Carnegie Mellon University, The University of Illinois, Chicago, and the University of Chicago.
