James Duesing

Former Fellows

Distinguished Fellow and former co-director of the STUDIO, James Duesing is an animator and electronic artist. He is an Associate Professor of Art at Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Art. His work has been exhibited widely, in international festivals and exhibitions. He has received various grants and awards including: an NEA Individual Media Grant, an American Film Institute Fellowship, an Emmy Award, and the Deutscher Videokunstpreis. His work is in the Museum of Modern Art; the Goethe Memorial Museum, Tokyo; the UCLA Film Archive, Los Angeles and the Israel Museum.
