Join us in the STUDIO on Thursday November 13th at 5:30 PM for a joint artist talk with Maxwell Neely-Cohen and Jessie Char. Presented in collaboration with Wood Street Galleries at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, 10k Drum Machines Exhibition.

 

Maxwell Neely-Cohen’s work has spanned literature, sound, theater, dance, and technology. His nonfiction and essays have appeared in places like The New Republic, SSENSE, and BOMB Magazine. His performances and experiments have been acclaimed by The New York Times Magazine, Frieze, and The Financial Times. He is the author of the novel Echo of the Boom. He is currently the publisher of The HTML Review, a fellow at the Library Innovation Lab, and a consulting dramaturg for the New York Choreographic Institute.

 

For over 20 years Jessie has built experience in technology, design, and music. After working at Apple through its ascent from computing underdog to leader of the mobile generation she went on to work at indie software studios, eventually founding the Pacific Helm design agency and Layers design conference. A classically trained cellist, Jessie combines her artistic training with her technical expertise in sound design, composition, design, and code, currently working across theatre, film, and interactive projects in New York City.
