The Treachery of Birds

When an environmental disaster wipes out birds, a group of artists have come together to recreate the experience of birds. “The Treachery of Birds” by Joshua Brown is an exhibition opera wherein every element is teeming with the implication, but not the reality, of birds. Exploring the elevation of the mundane to myth, the ethic of exhibition, and the reconstruction of scientific information, this show combines static artwork and dynamic performance to explore an absurd alternate reality.
