Cheung writes: “I am currently working on a multi-channel video piece that will be installed October 6th at Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. In the past, I have used computers and various software in order to sync my videos. This installation setup requires an expensive computer that needs to be hidden and locked up, a cumbersome process. For my upcoming show, I want to learn how to use Pis to display synced videos. With each Pi containing one video and one PI acting as the master controlling the other Pis, the number of videos shown and synced can be endless and much cheaper than professional video syncing equipment. Each Pi is smaller, less expensive, and visually unobtrusive. Furthermore, if set up properly, the Pis can be shipped as plug-and-play components. I seek to use the funds to allow for such a technological exploration.”
